Sharifa Waleed Rashid Yahya Al-Asfoor

Sharifa Waleed Rashid Yahya Al-Asfoor was born in Hidd on 19 January 1981, the daughter of Waleed Rashid Al-Asfoor and Ruqaya Qassim Al-Khaja. She was named after her paternal grandmother, Sharifa. She studied law at the University of Edinburgh and graduated in 2003. In 2003 she married Sadiq Ebrahim Al-Shirawi. She became a lawyer and opened a private law office. She is a keen photographer whose pictures of old doors and alleys were exhibited in Manama. In 2006 she earned a PhD in Manchester. Today she lives in Janabiya.
