Sawsan Abbas Jameel Baqer Al-Aali

Sawsan Abbas Jameel Baqer Al-Aali was born in Galali on 23 December 1969 into the Al-Aali family. She won a national Quran recitation competition as a teenager. She studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh and graduated in 1992. During her studies she failed her second year and nearly gave up, but repeated it and passed. She became a doctor specialising in cardiology. In 1994 she married Yahya Faisal Al-Sairafi. Today she lives in Jidhafs.
