Amina Fadhel Ziyad Ayman Al-Sairafi

Amina Fadhel Ziyad Ayman Al-Sairafi was born in Budaiya on 11 August 1958, the daughter of Fadhel Ziyad Al-Sairafi and Batool Ali Al-Buainain. She was named after her maternal grandmother, Amina. In 1979 she married Ebrahim Fadhel Al-Zayani. They had three children: Batool, Badriya and Ruqaya. She studied physiotherapy at the College of Health Sciences and graduated in 1980. She works as a physiotherapist in a rehabilitation centre. She opened a small restaurant that failed within two years, leaving her in debt; it took her five years to pay it back. She went through a period of depression after losing her job, and recovered with the support of her family and treatment. Today she lives in Muharraq.
