Life story
Aya Qassim Rashid Yahya Al-Asfoor was born in Busaiteen on 30 July 1984, the daughter of Qassim Rashid Al-Asfoor and Maryam Taher Al-Ghatam. She studied Arabic literature at the University of Jordan and graduated in 2006 with honours. She taught Arabic language in secondary schools. She is a keen photographer whose pictures of old doors and alleys were exhibited in Manama. In 2011 she married Mustafa Bader Al-Hammadi. Today she lives in Muharraq.
