Noor Majid Jameel Jamal Al-Fardan

Noor Majid Jameel Jamal Al-Fardan was born in Sitra on 9 August 1976, the daughter of Majid Jameel Al-Fardan and Shaima Ahmed Al-Tajir. She was named after her maternal grandmother, Noor. The Mohammed Al-Tajir Scholarship Fund paid for her studies. She studied medicine at University College Dublin and graduated in 2000 with honours. She became a doctor specialising in orthopaedics. In 2002 she married Ahmed Mubarak Al-Mutawa. In 2006 she earned a PhD in Boston. She volunteers every Friday at a charity that delivers food to poor families. Today she lives in Manama.
