Amina Hasan Mubarak Rayan Al-Aali

Amina Hasan Mubarak Rayan Al-Aali was born in Manama on 29 April 1975, the daughter of Hasan Mubarak Al-Aali and Sawsan Khalid Al-Mulla. She was named after her paternal grandmother, Amina. The Mohammed Al-Tajir Scholarship Fund paid for her studies. She studied electrical engineering at Kuwait University and graduated in 1997. She worked as an engineer at the electricity and water authority. She founded a small IT company that today employs twenty people. In 2003 she married Juma Mustafa Al-Shirawi. She was rejected for a scholarship abroad three times before finally being accepted. Today she lives in Budaiya.
