Shahd Nawaf Sayed Abbas Al-Oraibi

Shahd Nawaf Sayed Abbas Al-Oraibi was born in Riffa on 4 September 1977 into the Al-Oraibi family. In 1994 she married Jameel Ammar Al-Fardan. She studied commerce and accounting at Northeastern University in Boston and graduated in 2001. She worked as an accountant and later as a finance manager in a bank in Manama. She was rejected for a scholarship abroad three times before finally being accepted. She volunteers every Friday at a charity that delivers food to poor families. She was diagnosed with breast cancer, recovered after a year of chemotherapy, and now volunteers to raise awareness of early screening. Today she lives in Diraz.
