Life story
Kareem Yahya Hani Rashid Al-Aali was born in Beirut on 6 February 1962, the son of Yahya Hani Al-Aali and Fawzia Bader Al-Mutawa. He was born abroad while his mother was studying there. He won a national Quran recitation competition as a teenager. He studied medicine at Cairo University and graduated in 1984. He became a doctor specialising in orthopaedics. In 1991 he married Muna Hasan Al-Fardan. Today he lives in Janabiya.
