Jawad Jamal Jawad Anwar Al-Moosawi

Jawad Jamal Jawad Anwar Al-Moosawi was born in Galali on 11 February 1959, the son of Jamal Jawad Al-Moosawi and Sara Isa Al-Tajir. He studied pharmacy at the American University of Beirut and graduated in 1981 with honours. He worked as a pharmacist and later opened his own pharmacy. In 1984 he earned a PhD in Boston. He went through a period of depression after losing his job, and recovered with the support of his family and treatment. He bought a plot of land in Diraz and built the family home himself, room by room over seven years. Today he lives in Diraz.
