Life story
Baqer Khalil Jasim Ziyad Al-Khaja was born in Galali on 24 May 1946 into the Al-Khaja family. He finished secondary school. He worked as a carpenter and boat builder. In 1969 he married Ruqaya Nabeel Al-Tajir. They had three children: Moosa, Khalil and Muna. He was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and changed his whole lifestyle, walking every evening on the corniche. Today he lives in Tubli.
