Life story
Ahmed Mohammed Ahmed Mohammed Al-Tajir was born in Manama on 17 April 1917, the son of Mohammed Ahmed Al-Tajir and Wafa Ayman Al-Rumaihi. He was named after his paternal grandfather, Ahmed. As a boy he learned the Quran at the local kuttab. He was a small child when his father Mohammed was lost at sea, and was raised by his uncle Sayed. He worked as a government clerk. In 1939 he married his cousin Zainab Mansoor Al-Tajir. They had three children: Mansoor, Mohammed and Yousif. He died in Hidd on 23 November 1981, at the age of 64.
